"I'm happy to say that I'm currently amassing a shitload of Synthetic Socks material for a definitive release. It'll be on Chocodog, not "Gener's Label", though I do like the name. Scott Lowe, who collaborated with me on much of the stuff has been finding more and more music from that time period and we'll be getting it ready to put on disc...maybe two discs very soon. Forget about the Teen Beat record, this new Synthetic Socks collection hopefully will be available in all of it's brown glory in the next few months. And you're sure to have much more of it then you can handle. I'll let you know as things develop."

TRIBE THE CAT - (1991-2001) - R.I.P

08/16/2001 - Good article entitled, "How two merry
pranksters messed up the music world" about the
brothers Ween over there at Las Vegas Weekly.

08/04/2001 - Couple things...a new Ween ftp site
popped up, jopparoad.com.

07/28/2001 - For now...here's an mp3 from the recent
Athens, GA show, my personal favorite, "Voodoo
Lady/Kiss (the prince cover)" , download it here.

06/30/2001 - It's slow in Ween land so here's a
shameless promotion for my band, THE GRASSMEN .
We're an Atlanta band playing newgrass/rock/jazz/jam
type of stuff. Check out our live video and mp3s at
www.thegrassmen.com.

04/23/2001 - As you've probably already heard Glen isn't touring with Ween anymore. So...Ween wants you to be their next touring keyboardist. Deaner writes: "if you really believe in your heart that you're the perfect person for the gig, we're gonna give you an opportunity to prove yourself. Send us a tape of your own personal reading of "Pandy Fackler" to Pandy c/o Ween p.o. box 470 ringoes, nj 08551. You don't necessarily have to be loyal to the version on "White Pepper", just give us a taste of what you gots."

04/08/2001 - A while back A.S.C.A.P wrote me a letter stating the sound files on ween.net were copyright violations and without permission from the band I would have to either begin paying them or take em down. But don't fret, the issue was solved. So give a tip of the hat to Ween & their management for allowing sites like ween.net to post their music on the web. So on that note, I decided to throw up some full shows, something new here at ween.net. I posted the recent Tradewinds & Tohickon Tavern shows in the audio section. Later.

04/08/2001 - Ween will be on AudioFile starting Monday, April 9th. The episode repeats throughout the week. Hopefully you have access to TechTV (I don't). If not, the segment has been digitized and you'll able to watch it on the website: Here is a complete list of showtimes.

Also .... On April 11, HOB.com is re-broadcasting the Ween show at HOB in New Orleans for 24 hours.

In site related news, I inducted several "new" ween sites into the prestigious "cream of the crop" section on the link page.

03/22/2001 - Check out pics from last nights show here. Photos taken by Magical Pig.

- NEW CONTEST Win the Ween.net shirt.

02/17/2001 - They're back. Ween will resume touring in March.....maybe I'll see you at the Georgia Theatre in Athens. Will they paint your town brown? Here the dates:

02/11/2001 - Yup, Ween.Net t-shirts coming soon! Hat's off to Mike Putz from Austria who did a top notch job re-creating the logo for the shirt. I'll be giving these shirts out as prizes for contests and shit, not selling them.

02/02/2001 - Wes Borlands (guitarist for limp bizkit & avid Ween fan) has recently formed a new band, called Big Dumb Face. Supposedly the songs have a Ween/Bungle feel to them (2 of my favorite bands). Check his shit out at BigDumbFacefan.com; but don't worry, as far as I know Fred Durst has nothing to do with this project. In site related news...if you have a Ween related question or simply want to talk a little smack, visit the new Ween.Net Forum, it just may fancy you. And...I added "She Wanted to Leave" from the New York 2000 show because I love this song live. Enjoy this crap.

01/24/2001 -
Go to the Burly Bear Network and check out "The Golden Eel" video from the The Vanderbelt Theater show in New York.

01/20/2001
- Hat's off to weenradio.com who has been chosen #3 in Rollingstone.com's "The Top Ten Best Digital Music Entities of 2000." Read the article here.

01/13/2001 - Ween recorded the music for the new
fox series, "Grounded for Life." Click here to download the theme song. Watch for it Wednesday night at 8:30 EST . Ween also recorded a segment for the Nickelodeon cartoon, "Spongebob Squarepants." The episode is called "Your Shoe's Untied" and it's on
February 10th at 10am and 8pm. In site related news, I posted Ween's Letterman performance to the video section, threw up some of my misc links and added an excellent version of "Reggae Junkie Jew" from the 5/5/2000, Winooski Vermont show to the audio section. enjoy the waste.

01/02/2001 - Ween played an improptu set (4+ hours) at John & Peters, due to a cancelation of the show at the Saint. The show at the Saint has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 2nd at 9:00. Your tickets will be honored.

Below is an email i received from a fan who was lucky enough to attend the show:
-

"Everyone missed a truly inspired Ween effort. All kinds of rare shit including: I Was Nothing(pod out-take), Seconds, Put the Coke On My Dick, Reggae Junkie Jew, Sorry Charlie, Jammy Pac, Wayne's Pet Youngin'. Claude busted the bass drum on his new drum kit 3 songs into the gig(during Take me Away)."
Luther Wright

01/01/2001 - Happy New Year everyone!

Tonight's (12/30) show at The Saint in Asbury Park is canceled due to the winter blitz. It had been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan 2nd. I hope no one is on the road making their way up to New Jersey right now.

12/28/2000 - Ween will be playing saturday night, 12-30-00 at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ.

12/21/2000 - Dean Ween will be appearing on Pigface's double-disc anthology album. Read the news release at alternativepress.com. Also, I added a guestbook to the site, so go post some smack. And if you're looking around for something in particular, use the search engine to find what ya need. Seasons Greetings.

12/19/2000 - Another Ween site surfaced called Godweensatan.com. This site is run by a German weeny girl who wants "The ultimate fucked up Ween fan site" and even showcases pics of her pussy. Also..be sure to roll your mouse over the C&C album cover on the right side of her page. Very scandalous.

12/16/2000 - Well tis the season here at Ween.Net and for a few weeks I'll be giving out ween.net email addresses. Fill out the form at the bottom of the page to get yourname@ween.net

11/29/2000

8/29/2000 - Hello, Jan (webmaster of Janney's Bootlegs) is putting together a CDr box set collection of the White Pepper Tour's greatest hits and needs your help finding some bootlegs.
She Writes:
"I'm putting together a box set of the White Pepper Tour 2000 highlights. What I'd like to do is use the best version of every different song played. There were at least 115 different songs - shoosh!! This will likely end up being ~10 CDrs. I'll arrange the set by album...pre godWEENsatan first, then gWs, then songs from The Pod ....um, you can figure the rest. I want to make this complete, but I'm missing a few recordings. If anyone can help me find quality CDr (or DAT or MiniDisc) recordings of the following shows, I'll be eternally grateful and will send you a complimentary box set. Thanks for your help, the list of shows that I still need follows:

4.29 Brunswick ME (? not taped)

8/14/2000 - Go here to watch a quicktime movie of "Even if You Don't" from the 6/30/00,The Palace perfromance in LA. It's brought to you by the same people who encoded "Touch My Tooter". Enjoy.

8/05/2000 - Go here to watch a quicktime movie of "Touch My Tooter" from the 6/30/00 Benway Records perfromance in Venice, CA. Their heads turn into boognishes during Deaner's solo...it's pretty brown.

7/20/2000 - God almighty, the sold out Athens 40 Watt show last night was amazing. Ween's live shows are getting better and better every time I see them. My new favorite live cover song is "Band on the Run." So I added it to the audio section. It's from the 10.6.2000, New Hope Benifit Gig and the quality is top notch. I also added a great ween review from Athens own Flagpole Magazine. Check it out on the link page.

7/08/2000 - Long time no see. I added several live mp3s from the White Pepper summer tour to the audio page. They include: "Stoker Ace" from the 5.26.00 NYC show, "Flutes Of The Chi" from the 6.19.00 Denver show, "I'll Miss You" & "Polka Dot Trail" from the 6.18.00 Denver show and "She Fucks Me" & Deez Nutz" from the 6.17.00 Omaha show. Hats off to Janney over there at Janney's Bootlegs for sending these tunes in. I also added Lostwave's Ween FTP site and a great video interview to the link page. Enjoy this shit.

On another note, I've been monitoring the stats on this page and notice that 30 percent of you are on 3.0 browsers. Why??? Could it be that some of you can't update your browsers due to restrictions at the workplace?? Or maybe your just really lazy and frankly don't give a crap. Anyway if you can and haven't already, update your browsers for christ sake ...download IE 5 here.

2/19/2000 -
Launch.com offers the full version of the video "I Can't Put My Finger On It" in real video format. Go check that shit out.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

12/31/1999
Well, this is the last update of the century here at ween.net. Happy new year to everyone and if you survive the apocalypse, look for more shit to come on this page in the year 2000. Also, there are still more good user names available for yourname@ween.net. Some people are confused on how the ween.net email account works. It's quite simple, when someone sends email to yourname@ween.net it will be automatically forwarded to your current email account. Sign up here. I hope this clears up the confusion. See you next century?

12/24/1999 I added "The Stallion" from the 8/13/99 Austin, Stubbs BBQ show to the audio section. Also, check out the new ween.net webcam to see the home office and god knows what else. Happy Holidayz.

12/21/1999 Here is another mp3 from the 8/19/99 Birmingham, AL show. It's a little ditty sung by Ween's drummer, Mr. Claude Coleman Jr.. This tune could be something Ween pulled out of their ass that strange night at the Sloss Furnace or the possibly the song that will become their first number one hit. Anyway, it's called "These Nuts"....go listen to it in the audio section. Also, I will be giving out yourname@ween.net email accounts soon. Stay tuned if you think that may fancy you. See ya.

12/20/1999 I added "The Golden Eel" from the Austin, Texas 8/13/99 Stubbs BBQ show to the audio section. Go treat yourself.

12/19/1999 Sign up for the ween.net mailing list below if you want updates about this site. Also, look for more MP3s from the Sloss Furnace show soon.

12/12/1999 I added "The Enabler" (with Dave Dreiwitz on vocals) from the 8/19/99 Birmingham, AL show to my audio section. Hats off to Tre for encoding this special treat. Well tis the season to put up the traditional Ween Christmas Tree, merry x-mas.

12/09/1999 Ween has finished recording their new record, "White Pepper"....look for it in the spring. If you have a slow modem connection and don't feel like waiting for all the pages to load, try using the site map to find the shit you are looking for. goodnite.

12/04/1999 Welcome to www.ween.net. It was due time to sacrifice "Hill's Ween Page" and redesign this page to make it worthy of its domain name. I basically took the old page and fattened it up a bit, put some meat on the bitches' bones.

In a nutshell..............
Ween's cover of "Riders on the Storm" from the 8/19/99, Birmingham, AL, Sloss Furnace show was added to the audio section. If you were at this show with me, you will no doubt remember this treat. Tre Zieman has more of these Sloss Furnace MP3s to come, stay tuned. Also, Tre is looking for a good copy of "Sweet Texas Fire" from this "Piss Up A Rope" single for his Ween b-side compilation CD.
I dug up "Puffy Cloud" and "Rights To The Ways And The Rules Of The World" from the acoustic 1/15/98, New York, NY Tramps show. I had these two songs up on Hill's Ween Page at one point, there back.

The video section now has the 4 MTV video clips to watch and the real video footage from the Athens and Louisville Mollusk shows. The now 'somewhat complete' discography was beefed up with Ween's Early Recordings, EPs, Singles, Compliations, Appearances, Side Projects, Audio Clips and Lyrics. The image and link sections were also fattened up. I tried to find every ween link out there.....email me if I forgot one.

And if you haven't heard already, Ween is currently in the studio wrapping up their new studio record due to be released around March. Also check out the hot new items for sale at Ween's online store

On the chocodog website, Deaner quoted, "On this tour, instead of asking for food like we usually do, we request that all the ladies come dressed in bikini tops. This would really mean a lot to us. It's awfully lonely out there on the road and this would give us something to......nevermind."

I guess you ladies really listened!!!

On that note, I received an e-mail today that read...
" During LMLYP I started to notice the security staring a little to the right of me... dead center- a girl heavily x induced was, from what I saw, getting done from behind. I know Dave and Glenn witnessed and I think they prolonged the song to let them finish..unreal!"

THEN, I received a picture from the Austin, TX show and two pics from the Albuquerque show. It seems the ladies can't seem to control themselves around the boys these days. Check out these pics, but WARNING EXPLICIT PICTURES, must be 18 to enter......the identity of the girls have been hidden due
the graphic nature. Enjoy, click here.
